Repair A Trampoline Spring Cover

You can easily repair the trampoline spring cover if damages are minor.

A trampoline is an investment that can provide lots of fun and good exercise. However, after consistent, prolonged use and sun exposure, the mat that covers your trampoline springs may become damaged. If you have small holes or tears in your mat, they are pretty simple to mend. Trampoline spring covers with serious damage may have to be replaced. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

1. Remove the trampoline spring cover before attempting to make repairs. Gently unhook it from the springs and lay it out on a flat surface.

2. Grab your duct tap and rip off a small square. Place it on top of the hole or tear to prevent it from getting larger. If there are any holes underneath the cover, place duct tape over them as well.

3. Take your trampoline patch kit and cut out the patch provided. Be sure it is big enough to cover the hole with an inch of room to spare on each side. The patch should cover a greater area than the duct tape.

4. Sew the patch over the hole. Each patch kit should contain thread. It is only necessary on the topside of the cover; you need not place a patch underneath the cover.

5. Place the cover back on your trampoline, covering your springs. Hook the loops on the springs and your trampoline is now ready for use.
