Diy Scratch Remover

Scratches are inevitable, whether it be the floor, windows, watches, tables or your shiny new gadget. When you use something constantly, that item will eventually succumb to the natural wearing of everyday use. There are numerous solutions and polishes on the market that claim scratch removal, but these are often expensive and contain harsh chemicals. Chances are you have a few items in your house already that can help you remove scratches, regardless of the surface material. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

1. Remove scratches in glass with toothpaste. Clean the scratched area. Apply a hefty amount of toothpaste (not gel) to cover the scratched area. Make sure the toothpaste fills the scratches and wipe away the excess. Allow the toothpaste to dry. Use a cloth to polish. This can also work for small scratches on watches, CDs and DVDs.

2. Remove scratches in furniture with lemon juice and vegetable oil. Mix 1/2 cup lemon juice and 1/2 cup vegetable oil in a glass. Dip a soft cloth into the mixture and buff out the scratches in furniture. This always works for hardwood floors. Repeat as necessary.

3. Remove scratches on laminate floors with shoe polish. Apply a generous amount of shoe polish to the scratches on the floors, tables or counter tops. Use a soft cloth to buff out the scratches. Repeat as necessary.
