Occasionally, your television may run into playback problems.
Vivitek focuses on digital production, ranging from projectors to television systems. If you have a Vivitek TV and it is failing to function correctly you need to troubleshoot the television to determine what is causing the problem. Once you know the issue, you can repair the Vivitek TV.
Instructions
1. Turn off the television if there is a small black or white dot on the screen. This is either a stuck or dead pixel. Leave the television off for a few minutes, then turn it back on. If the pixel is stuck, the color goes back to the correct color. But if the pixel is dead, it stays black or white. There isn't anything you can do about a dead pixel.
2. Push in the cable connections completely on the TV. If the cables are lose, you are going to experience a drop in audio/video signal quality.
3. Press the "Menu" button on the Vivitek television, then choose "Picture." This brings up the picture options on the television. Highlight the issue that you are running into, such as "Brightness," if the picture is too dark/bright; "Hue" if the greens or reds are off; or "Contrast" if all the color seems to have a gray tone. Once the option is selected, you can use the left or right control button on your remote control to correct the problem.
4. Disconnect the Vivitek TV form an electrical outlet and connected video device. Leave the television off for a few minutes, then power the equipment back on. This resets the television system. Resetting the television corrects hardware malfunctions on the set, allowing you to view connected equipment properly.
