Kindle is a free ebook reader application that is available for your iPhone from Apple's App Store. It allows you go retrieve, purchase and read over 630,000 books from Amazon's Kindle Store, as of September 2010. You can search for books by name, author, subject, bestsellers or new releases. The application features Whispersync technology, which allows you to sync information from your ebooks across all Kindle-compatible devices.
Instructions
1. Press the "Kindle" icon on your iPhone.
2. Tap the "Get Books" icon. Your iPhone will automatically open the Safari browser and go to the Kindle Store. Enter your search query for the book you would like to retrieve and press "Go."
3. Select the book you would like to purchase. The first time you purchase a book, the Kindle store will prompt you to create an account and enter your credit card information. For subsequent purchases, you can purchase books with a single touch without having to reenter your account information.
4. Press the round button at the bottom of your iPhone and then press the "Kindle" icon.
5. Wait while the Kindle application downloads and retrieves your ebook. When the download is complete, you will see the book listed on the "Home" screen of the Kindle application. Select the book to begin or continue reading your ebook.
