Johanna Favrot Fund for Historic Preservation
The Johanna Favrot Fund for Historic Preservation is a grant, available to public as well as nonprofit organizations, usually ranging between $2,500 and $10,000. The sole purpose of this grant to is provide funds with the expectation of saving historic environments in order to promote our nation's diverse cultural heritage as well as preserving and revitalizing communities across the nation. Grant money is available, but the awarded organization is required to match the awarded amount through other public or private funding, or through the organization's own fundraising efforts. All rehabilitation plans must conform to the Secretary of the Interior's Standards for the Treatment of Historic Properties. Grants are awarded on the basis of planning activities and educational efforts focused on preservation.

Cynthia Woods Mitchell Fund for Historic Interiors
Cynthia Woods Mitchell Fund for Historic Interiors is a $2,500 to $10,000 grant available to public or nonprofit agencies. The purpose of this grant is to award money towards the preservation, restoration or interpretation of one or more historic interiors. Monies may be used in obtaining a professional in an area of expertise such as architecture, planning, fundraising or media relations to assist with the promotion and planning of rehabilitation efforts. Winner must have a way of matching grant amount dollar-for-dollar by private or raised funds. Grants will be considered based on positive impact to the organization's interior rehabilitation plans. Factors such as the building's significance, potential for future progress, timeline and budget are also considered in the process of selecting a recipient.

Partnership-in-Scholarship Grant for African-American Historic Places
Another grant within the National Trust for Historic Preservation is the Partnership-in-Scholarship Grant for African American Historic Places. The purpose of this grant is to raise public awareness of African-American historic sites and their place in American history. Monies can be used through this grant in many ways such as improving public access to African-American historical and cultural resources, strengthening each institution's humanities programming in order to preserve, enhance or enjoy significant African-American historic places, or by providing means of lifelong learning opportunities. Two types of grants are available---one for a demonstration grant, and one for project support (dollar-for-dollar money match is required). In spring 2010, up to 12 grants of $5,000 were made available. Please see the grant application guidelines for additional requirements as well as deadline dates.
