Repair Appliance Scratches

Repair scratches on appliances with car wax.

Scratches can tarnish the look of appliances, making them look worn and old. Dirt and grime gather inside the scratches creating dark, thin veins, further detracting from their appearance. Removing scratches helps to restore the look of not only the appliances, but the entire room in the house. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

1. Mix 1 tsp. of liquid dish soap into a bucket of warm water.

2. Wet a sponge with the soapy mixture. Wipe the appliances with the sponge, removing dust and dirt from within the scratches.

3. Rinse the soap from the appliances with a damp sponge. Dry the appliances with a soft cloth.

4. Apply 1 tbsp. of car wax to the scratches on the appliance with a damp sponge. Rub the wax slowly in small, circular motions. Allow the wax to dry on the appliance for 10 to 15 minutes.

5. Wipe the wax from the appliance surface with a soft cloth. Rub aggressively to remove the scratches and leave the appliance with a high sheen.
