Repair A Panasonic Tv

A layperson can accomplish many Panasonic TV repairs.

Panasonic is a major Japanese firm that produces a range of consumer electronics, including personal audio devices, stereo systems and Blu-ray DVD players. Panasonic also makes a range of television sets including LCD, plasma and rear projection units. Panasonic TVs can suffer from various issues including overheating, magnetic interference and unstable images. While only an experienced repairman should handle some of these repairs, many issues are solvable without any technical expertise.

Instructions

Image Problems

1. Make sure the coaxial cable in the back is securely attached in the RF outlet, if you are getting a fuzzy or unstable picture. A loose coaxial cable can cause sound and image interference. Check the cable for any dents or tears, as these may cause a weakened signal. Purchase a new cable from an electrical store, if the copper cable or metal tip appear to be damaged.

2. Place items such as vacuum cleaners, fluorescent bulbs or electrical motors away from your Panasonic TV. These appliances can cause interference on Panasonic televisions, particularly LCD sets.

3. Make sure any composite connections at the back of your Panasonic TV are securely fitted. On most models, these are color-coded to match the outlets at the back of your TV.

Sound Problems

4. Push the Mute button on your remote control if you can't hear any sound. This may have been pressed in error, muting the volume output.

5. Unplug any headphones connected to your Panasonic TV, as these will restrict external audio.

6. Increase the volume levels on any external devices connected to your Panasonic TV. Appliances such as gaming consoles or DVD players have separate volume settings to your TV. If these are turned down low, it inhibits the volume output on your TV.

HDMI Problems

7. Turn off the Color Correction setting if you have HDMI cables connected to your Panasonic TV and pictures have unnatural colors (such as areas that should be red appearing as green).

8. Press the OK button on your Panasonic remote control and select the Other Adjust icon. Scroll down to the Color Correction feature on-screen. You can now switch off the Color Correction feature, which should restore normal color balance.

9. Check that your HDMI cables are securely fitted, if images appear unsteady or grainy. Replace the game or DVD disc with another to identify whether the cable or media input is at fault. Purchase a new HDMI cable if the problem recurs.
