Plumbing Training Programs

Colleges and schools offer plumbing technology programs around the country.

Plumbers are responsible for installing, repairing or maintaining plumbing systems to establish a water supply or to remove wastewater. Plumbers must be proficient in using materials like plastics, copper and cast iron to ensure that pipes work effectively and prevent leaks. While many plumbers are self-employed or work on a freelance basis, many career opportunities are available with contractors, parts suppliers or maintenance companies.
