How Are Trampolines Measured

A trampoline has four key components.

Trampoline replacement parts need to fit properly. This means the four key areas of a trampoline should be measured: frame, mat, springs and the number of springs on the trampoline.

Frame Size

The diameter of the trampoline should be measured from end to end. Most large trampolines range from 8 to 16 feet. Three or four different measurements should ensure accuracy.

Mat Size

Trampoline mats are also measured from end to end sans the steel rings and springs. Measurements must be taken from one end of the mat material to another; this should be done at least three or four times for correct measurements.

Trampoline Springs

A couple of trampoline springs should be removed and measured lengthwise from one arch of the hook to the other arch of the hook. This should not be done while they are attached to the trampoline since they are stretched. Many springs range from 4.5 to 9 inches.

Number of Springs

This is the easiest task; The number of spring holes that are on the frame must be counted or the number of rings on the mat.
