Grant funds can be used to purchase wheel chairs or other mobility devices.
Families of children with disabilities have extra expenses such as mobility needs, medical or care-taking costs and loss of parental income if they are the primary care giver. Recognizing these issues, the federal government has created funds for families of children with disabilities to aid them with this need. Applying for grant money to help support these children can be a time consuming process due to lengthy and detailed grant application forms.
