The diploma program is a 72-hour program that will take a full-time student four to six quarters to complete, according to the Chattahoochee Technical College Website. Some of the things students will learn in the program include industrial safety procedures, electricity principles, residential wiring and electrical controls.
The certificate program at Chattahoochee Technical College is a shorter, 15-hour program that prepares students for employment as entry-level electrical technicians. Courses within the program include electricity principles, direct current circuits and mathematics.

Everest Institute offers an electrician program that can be completed over a three-quarter period.
