Find A Service Center For A Palm Pda

The best place to find a service center for a Palm PDA is the place you bought it from. Hopefully, you purchased your Palm device from a reliable dealer. Depending upon the nature of the problem, the store should either replace the defective device or provide no charge repair service if covered by your warranty. Follow these steps to find a Service Center for a Palm PDA.

Instructions

1. Go to the Palm Web site. Select the country or region where you live and click on link. When you are automatically directed to the main page for your country or region, skip to the next step.

2. Click on the "Support" tab located in the top right-hand region of the page. Then customer support in the menu on the left-hand side of the page.

3. Click on the link for repairs. Click on the "Troubleshooting before you start a repair" link at the end of the first paragraph called "Do you need a repair?"

4. Type a short question about the problem you are having with your Palm PDA in the "Ask a question" textbox. Match the model name for your Palm PDA with one in the drop-down menu provided under the "About" heading. Click on the "Go" button.

5. Select the problem that most closely matches the problem you are having with your Palm PDA. Follow the directions provided for troubleshooting the problem. If the problem persists, try another question. When troubleshooting does not solve your problem, return to the Customer Support page by using the "Back" button on your browser.

6. Click the "Continue" button at the bottom of the "Does your device need repairs" page on the Customer Support system.

7. Match the model name for your Palm PDA with one of those listed on this page. Click the "Start a repair with Palm" button next to the name of your model.

8. Read the information on this page carefully, as your warranty status determines how you proceed.

9. Fill in the "Create a Repair Order" form. To proceed with service for a non-warranty covered Palm PDA, you will need to provide: your email and snail mail addresses, your phone number, the serial number from your Palm PDA, the date you purchased your Palm PDA and your credit card information for billing purposes.

10. Click the "Proceed" button. Print the information provided so that you know where to send the Palm PDA and for a reference when checking the status of your repair.
