Clean & Repair A Dvd

Cleaning and repairing a DVD disc is not complicated to do.


DVD discs, like any optical disc, can become scratched and dirty over time as they are used. You can clean and repair a DVD disc so that it will function at its optimal best. No special cleaning fluids are required as it just takes a few household supplies. Adult supervision is necessary if the person cleaning and repairing the DVD is underage, as the cleaning solution is poisonous to drink.


Instructions


1. Put a soft cloth on a table. Put the DVD disc label side down on the soft cloth.


2. Blow off the DVD disc with compressed air.


3. Moisten an edge of the lint free cloth in distilled alcohol.


4. Place the moistened edge of the lint free cloth on the DVD disc at the 12 o'clock position next the hole in the center.


5. Move the edge of the lint free cloth around the DVD disc in a gentle clockwise rotation that goes out towards the edge of the DVD disc. Remove the lint free cloth when its edge reaches the edge of the DVD disc. Discard the lint free cloth.


6. Blow off the DVD disc with compressed air.


7. Hold a cotton pad in your right hand. Apply a dollop of toothpaste to a cotton pad.


8. Smear the dollop of toothpaste onto the cotton pad using the index finger of your left hand. Wipe your index finger on a paper towel.


9. Place the smeared side of the cotton pad ton the DVD disc at the 12 o'clock position next to the hole in the center.


10. Move the cotton pad around the DVD disc in a gentle clockwise rotation that goes out towards the edge of the DVD disc.


11. Remove the cotton pad when it reaches the edge of the DVD disc. Discard the cotton pad.
