Clean Tasco Binoculars

Tasco binoculars are used in a wide variety of ways, such as animal watching and to view sporting and other events from a distance. Over time, the outer casing will accumulate dirt as well as skin oils and debris. Additionally, the lenses will collect dust, dirt and fingerprint smudge marks that can block your field of vision. As the casing and lenses can experience damage from any accumulations including stains on the casing or scratches on the lenses, it is important to clean your Tasco binoculars regularly. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

1. Wipe the strap, casing, eye cups, and lens and eye cup caps on the Tasco binoculars as needed with a damp cloth. When finished, dry these areas with a lint-free microfiber cloth. If any grooved surfaces contain dirt buildup, brush it away with a small soft-bristled brush, such as an eyebrow brush or toothbrush. Wipe the areas with a damp cloth and then dry the surfaces.

2. Dislodge debris from one lens by blowing air onto the surface from a can of compressed air or brushing the lens with the soft brush tip on a lens-cleaning pen. Repeat this process on the other lenses. Make certain to spray or brush in the grooves where each lens meets the rim of the casing.

3. Spray lens cleaner on a lint-free microfiber cloth. Place the dampened cloth on the center of one of the lenses and then wipe the lens carefully in a swirling or circular pattern outward from the center. Repeat with the other lenses. If you're using a lens cleaning pen, rub the lenses gently with the pen's cleaning tip.
