Make A Boy'S Uniform Fresh

Keep him looking his best by keeping his uniform crisp and fresh.

Keeping a boy's uniform clean and fresh may seem like an exercise in futility. The last thing on a boy's mind as he triumphantly slides into home plate or makes a big tackle on a muddy football field is what his uniform is going to look like when the game is over. Constant soiling and washing -- and the occasional stashing of a damp uniform in a locker for days on end -- can quickly cause it to become dingy and musty. Freshening a uniform with a few common household items, however, can keep it crisp and smelling pleasant. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

1. Apply stain remover to any stains on the uniform, on both the outside and the inside of the fabric. Apply it to the armpit areas of the uniform as well.

2. Put the uniform in the washer. Set the temperature and cycle settings according to the washing instructions on the uniform's label.

3. Add laundry detergent along with a cup of white vinegar then start the wash cycle. White vinegar is an effective stain fighter and odor neutralizer and it also helps wash away detergent residue that can build up on clothing.

4. Dry the uniform as directed on its label.
