Repair A Hole In A Trampoline

A well-repaired trampoline will ensure that everyone is safe when jumping.


Trampolines are an effective source of exercise for everyone no matter their age. A hole can make your trampoline dangerous to jump on, especially for young children. Knowing repair a trampoline can save you money and will keep you and your little ones safe.


Instructions


1. Take the trampoline mat off its metal ring before making any repairs. Spread the trampoline mat on an even surface.


2. Measure the size of the hole and write down the measurement on a piece of scrap paper. Go to a trampoline repair shop or an outdoor shop and purchase the right size patch.


3. Place the patch on the underside of the hole. Get your heavy duty thread and needle and sew the patch over the hole. Reinforce the patch by going over it multiple times with your needle and thread.


4. Add a patch to the top of the trampoline for additional reinforcement. Sew it over the same place, the same way you did on the bottom. Go over it a few times to make sure that the patch is secured.


5. Rehang the trampoline when you're finished with the repair. Have an adult test the trampoline after you're finished with the repairs to make sure that the patch holds.


6. Check on the repair periodically to ensure that the stitching is holding well and that there is no fraying.
