Church Research Grants

Church research grants are normally connected with missionary or spiritual work.


Churches and other religious groups sometimes offer grants to their parishioners and to the general public for the right cause. Most often the grant is connect with theological research or missionary work. Applying for a church research grant is similar to applying for other grants, as there are specific criteria that must be met.

Church research grants are different from other grants in that the research usually is geared to support the church's philosophy or a specific aim, and that almost always includes growing the ministry. The Internet is a great place to find grants, and almost every denomination is represented.

Christian Reformed Church


The Calvin Center research grants total over $150,000, and there are six available yearly for faith-related topics. The Calvin Center is is a Christian liberal arts college that is partnered with the Christian Reformed Church; the two share many funds, grants and scholarship programs.
