Based on 2010 data, the cost of repairing siding is $3 to $5 per square foot. The price includes the removal of the old siding and the attachment of the new siding, as well as the preparation of the wall underneath.


Considerations


Aluminum siding and vinyl siding are the cheapest types of siding to repair. Fiber cement siding is slightly more expensive to repair, around 50 cents more per square foot. Lap cedar siding is the most expensive to repair and may cost up to $2 more per square foot.
