There are several ways to fix the pixels on your LCD TV.
It is not uncommon for LCD TVs to develop pixel problems. When pixels stop working appropriately, you will see small dots on your screen that are stuck on a specific color such as white, black, green, red or blue. White pixels are considered hot pixels. Dead pixels are usually black, and pixels that display any primary color are usually called stuck pixels. Fortunately, this pesky problem can be fixed online, manually, or by purchasing products specifically manufactured for this type of situation.
Instructions
Flex Code
1. Navigate to the Flex Code website (see Resources). This is only possible if your LCD TV can connect to the Internet. Keep in mind that you can also connect your LCD to the Internet if you have Internet-friendly devices, such as a PS3 console or Blu-ray player.
2. Click on the "toggle full screen" tab displayed on the upper-left region of the Flex Code page. This will cause the Flex Code page to go on full-screen mode.
3. Click on the small black box displayed beside where it says "pick a color" and a box displaying a wide array of colors will be pop up. Click on the color that matches the color of the pixel on your screen. For instance, if the color of the pixel you want to fix is green, select a green that matches the pixel's color. Once you select the color, the whole screen will change to the color you selected. When you select the right color, the pixel will not be noticeable because it will match the color you chose.
4. Leave the screen as is for a few hours, and check thereafter to ensure that the pixel has been fixed. If the pixel is still being displayed, click on the small box located below where it says "2nd method," beside where it reads "to fix it it (massage the pixel)."
Manually
5. Turn your LCD television off.
6. Apply pressure on the region of the LCD screen where the pixel is not working appropriately. Make sure that you apply pressure specifically on the malfunctioning pixel so that you don't cause other pixels to stick.
7. Turn your LCD TV on while applying pressure on the pixel that is malfunctioning. Once your TV is on, remove pressure, and the pixel will start working correctly. If your LCD screen has pixels malfunctioning in several areas, you will need to perform these steps on each pixel.
