Do you subcontract any part of the work? Do you work with qualified engineers for big jobs? What materials and methods do you use, and why? Can I see any current or finished foundation repair jobs? What are your policies regarding existing landscaping? What are your foundation repair warranties? Take notes on all the answers.
2. Get each contractor out to do an inspection and written proposal. It's important to get foundation repair proposals in writing so there are no mistakes with the final repair job.
3. Get a list of subcontractors and contact each one to ask about the main foundation repair company. You can learn a lot about big companies by asking questions of their subcontractors.
4. Compare your notes. Don't make a final decision on hiring a foundation repair contractor based solely on price, because everything must be taken into consideration.
