Put A Child'S Birthday On Pbs Kids' Birthday List

PBS celebrates birthdays of children 7 and under by displaying their birthday cards on air. Birthday cards are featured on the "Sunny Side Up Show" from 9 a.m. to 12 noon EST. Birthday wishes will also be featured on PBS' SproutOnline. To personalize the birthday wish, PBS requests that parents and loved ones make the birthday card. Not all cards are selected to be shown on air; cards must be unique, clear and creative. However, all cards that follow the guidelines will be displayed online. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

1. Create a homemade birthday card for your child. The card should include a picture of your child and a drawing of your child's favorite PBS KIDS Sprout character. Also include a birthday wish, such as "Happy 1st Birthday, Maria!" Don't include the child's or family's last name or the address on the front or inside of the card. Also, don't create the card using white, orange or pink papers, or draw using light-colored or thin markers.

2. Print and sign the "Entrant Release Form" (see Resources).

3. Mail the card and signed release form to the address displayed on the form. PBS will display the card on-air, if it is selected, or online on your child's birthday. You should send the card at least two weeks prior to your child's birthday.
