Rv Camping In Lagrange Georgia

Lagrange is a gateway to West Point lake in western Georgia.

Lagrange, Georgia is in the western part of the state near West Point Lake. There are many state parks, wildlife areas and lakes in the area and as a result, there are a lot of places to camp in your RV. Finding an RV close to activities you like should be relatively easy here as tourism is taken seriously, along with Southern hospitality.

Ultimate Camping

Two campgrounds in Lagrange should not be missed. Both 3 Creeks Entertainment and Hoofers campgrounds have the latest in RV camping, but they both offer a whole lot more.

Both offer weekly concerts. Hoofers is country, bluegrass and gospel, while 3 Creeks is a bit more contemporary, but they still play a lot of religious type music. There are concerts every weekend during the summer, and occasionally through the week. Both also have restaurants specializing in steak and seafood.

Entertainment at 3 Creeks includes dancing lessons, swimming lessons, a batting cage, water slides and roller skating.

Both campgrounds have over 100 sites with full hookups--water sewer and electric. They both offer cable TV and free Wi-Fi, bathrooms, showers and laundry.

Lake Resort

A few miles from Lagrange is the Highland Marina Resort on Lake West Point. The facility has a full-service marina, along with its full-service campground.

Here you may put your own boat in the lake, or rent one of the resort's. Several types of boats are available, from canoes to big fishing boats. You may also rent jet skis here.

The campground has more than 100 sites with full hookups--water, sewer and electric--with 30 and 50 amp connections. No tent camping is available. The sites are in a pine forest, and there are trees between every site. Cable TV and Wi-Fi are available at all sites.

Several miles of hiking trails are laid out around the lake. At the resort there is a restaurant, swimming pool, volleyball, horseshoes and a beach area on the lake.

Stables

The Lagrange area has several stables for horses. You may bring your own, or take one of the resort's for a ride. There are guided rides, group rides, as well as solo riding.

There are some RV campgrounds that have horse stables in the area. Serenity Stables, in Waverly, Alabama, offers boarding as well as riding. It also has a campground. Roosevelt State Park at Pine Mountain, Georgia also offers camping and horseback riding.

Around the Lake

There are several privately operated RV campgrounds around the lake. Most have full hookups, concrete pads for RV parking, restrooms, showers and laundry facilities.

Camp sites around the lake usually make fishing very convenient.

Also around the lake is the Dixie Creek Wildlife Management Area, McGee Bridge Recreational Area, State Line Park and Autry Park, all of which have camping though some of it is primitive.

Repairs

There are two RV sales and service centers in Lagrange--Dudleys and A&A Center Trailers--where you may get parts and repairs made. They have RVs for sale or trade.
