House foundation slabs are made of concrete.
Occasionally concrete foundations crack because of ground settling and movement. Your home's foundation is under constant stress from the ground below it and from the weight of the home above it. This stress causes foundation separation, cracks and failure. Some cracks are warning signs for larger problems so always have all foundation cracks assessed by a professional before repairing. Does this Spark an idea?
