A simple DIY Delta faucet repair job.

Instructions
1. Turn the water supply off to the faucet you are working on. Sink faucets normally have small shut-off valves on the hot and cold water supplies. They are located under the counter. Follow the water lines from the bottom of the faucet down to the shut-offs, and turn the valve handles clockwise to shut off the water supply. Open both the hot and cold valves on the faucet to relieve the remaining water pressure before disassembling the faucet.
2. Remove the handles. On the top of each handle is a screw cover, or button, with hot and cold indicators. Pop off the buttons by hand and set to the side. Using a Philips tip screwdriver, remove the screws holding the handles to the faucet stems. Lift the handles off and set aside.
3. Remove the valve stems. Unscrew the bonnet nuts, hexagon shaped chrome rings, holding the stems in place. Using a pair of pliers, turn the rings to the left, remove and set aside. Grasp the stems using your pliers and pull up the separate them from the faucet body. Soak up any remaining water with a rag.
4. Remove the seats and springs. Look down into the stem barrels and find the black rubber seats. The springs are located under the seats. With the pointy end of the screwdriver, run the tip down inside the hole in the middle of each black rubber seat and spring. Tilt the screwdriver slightly and lift out each seat and spring set. Clean any remaining debris out of the faucet stem barrels with a rag.
5. Install new springs, seats, and valve stems. Slide the small end of the rubber seat onto the screwdriver followed by the small end of the spring. Carefully lower the set into the stem barrel, and using one finger, wiggle the seat and spring into position. Insert a new Delta stem into each barrel. Screw on the bonnet nuts securely with your pliers.
6. Reinstall the handles. Set the handles onto the stems and replace the handle screws. Pop the hot and cold buttons back on the top of the handles. Turn the water back on and open both the hot and cold faucets. Let the water run while you visually inspect for leaks around the handles and bonnet nuts.
