Calling Organizations and Donating
1. Search for local charities or churches in the phonebook or on the Internet to whom you would like to donate your treadmill.
2. Telephone supervisors of the charity or church of your choice and ask them about their organization. Decide if you feel a connection to the organization, agree with what it does and would be willing to give a piece of expensive equipment to it.
3. Decide which organization would benefit the most from your donation.
4. Call the organization and let it know ahead of time when you expect to be there to donate the treadmill. Most organizations will help you unload the treadmill from your vehicle and provide you with a tax-deductible receipt.
