Install A Cd Player In The Dash Of A Ford Aerostar Van

Installing a radio with a CD player in your Ford Aerostar Van is a fairly simple procedure if you have the proper tools. Before installing the new radio, you must first remove the old one which is secured to the Aerostar by a series of screws. Once those screws are taken out, you can remove the old radio and install the new one very easily. The entire replacement procedure only takes twenty minutes to complete.

Instructions

1. Pull the hood release lever on your Aerostar van. Lift up the hood and remove the negative terminal cable from the battery.

2. Use the flat-head screwdriver to lift off the plastic trim covering the radio.

3. Use a Phillips-head screwdriver to remove each of the four screws holding the radio to the Aerostar. There is one screw in each corner.

4. Pull out the radio and disconnect its electrical-connector. Pull the radio out of the Aerostar van.

5. Place the CD player into the central dash of the Aerostar van where the old radio was, and attach the electrical connector.

6. Reattach the four corner screws to secure the CD player to the Aerostar. Reattach the plastic trim, reconnect the battery cable and close the hood.
