Estimate Tree Removal Jobs

If you have some trees on your property that need trimming, topped or taken down. Now comes the fun part, getting estimates and interviewing tree care services, to find a price for your budget.

The problem is, you never know it you are being charged too much. Here are some tips that can help you estimate if the price you are given is in the fair range. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

1. A small tree: A small tree would be about 1/4 to 1 foot around and up to 25 feet tall. If you have a small tree 25 feet tall, the price would be around $8.00 a foot. Multiply 25 feet times $8.00 and the cost of the tree removal would be about $200.

2. A medium the tree: A medium size tree would be anything from 1-2 feet thick and from 25 to 50 feet tall. A medium sized tree will be about $9.00 per foot. Multiply 50 times $9.00. If you have a 50 foot tree you want taken down, the cost of the tree removal would be about $450.

3. A large tree: A large tree would be considered anything from 2 to 4 feet around and 55 to 90 or more feet tall. A large tree would be about $10 a foot to remove. If you have an 80 foot tree that you want removed, multiply 80 times $10 and the price of the tree removal will be around $800 or more.

4. Other considerations: You will usually pay more for a hazardous tree removal. A hazardous tree is a tree by power lines, dead trees or trees with biting insects like bees or wasps.

5. save money: If you want to save money on your tree removal, agree not to have the wood removed. Get your husband or sons cut up the wood and sell it for firewood or advertise free wood on Craigslist.

6. Finally: The price to remove a tree, will vary based on the economy in the area you live. But, I have given you this information as a ball park guide. You can always barter with the tree removal service, or request a two payment plan.
