2. Call 3-1-1 for information about a crime. The operators at 3-1-1 will forward your call to the Austin police. You can use this number to report a variety of situations including animal cruelty, speeders and debris in the street.


3. Report online. The city of Austin also has an online reporting system for information about crimes. This system is part of the 3-1-1 system and you can report issues like graffiti, violations that occur in school zones and code violations.
