Reset A Gigaware Optical Mouse

Radio Shack is an exclusive supplier of Gigaware optical mice. The mice are powered by conventional AA batteries and feature a low-battery indicator built into the scroll wheel. Additionally, the mice are compatible with both Microsoft Windows and Apple's OSX operating system. In the event of a malfunction, the process for resetting the optical mouse is identical to that for installation. No special software or additional hardware is needed to complete the reset.

Instructions

1. Slide the power button for the mouse to the off position. The button is located on the bottom of the mouse.

2. Open the mouse's battery compartment and remove the batteries. The cover can be easily removed using the hole in the cover located on the right side.

3. Disconnect the mouse's USB receiver from the computer's USB port.

4. Reinstall the batteries into the mouse and slide the power button to the on position.

5. Slide the USB receiver back into a USB port on the computer.

6. Press the connect button located on the bottom left hand side of the mouse and the very tip of the USB receiver to complete the resetting process.
