Download Tag Pen Books
The Leapfrog company creates learning toys for all ages of child. One of their toys, the Tag Reading system, won the Educational Toy of the Year Award at the 2009 Toy of the Year Awards ceremony. This toy uses a Tag pen and Tag Reader books. Together the pen says words aloud when the words are touched with the Tag pen. To use the books, you have to download audio for the Tag pen books from the Leapfrog website.
Instructions
Download Audio
1. Attach the Tag Reader pen to your computer with the USB cable that came with the Tag pen.
2. Turn on computer and open Leapfrog Connect application. An icon is placed on your desktop during installation. If you have not yet installed the Leapfrog Connect application, follow the steps in section 2 of this article.
3. Click the button that has the name of your child on it. The Tag home page will open. Lists of books will display that are appropriate for your child.
4. Browse the list of books, and select one to download by clicking the "Download Audio" button. The download will proceed.
5. Go to the "On My Tag" page when the audio is done downloading by clicking the "On My Tag" link at the top of the page. The is divided into two columns. The left-hand column displays Tag pen books that are in your library. The right-hand column is books that are on your Tag pen.
6. Select a book on the left-hand side of the page and click Add button. The audio will be downloaded to your Tag Reader pen.
Install Leapfrog Connect application
7. Attach the Tag pen to a computer with the USB cable that came with the Tag Reader pen. Go to the Leapfrog website.
8. Click on the "Support" link. The link is on the right-hand side of the page.
9. Click "Download Tag book audio" at the top of the list of links on the "Customer Support" page.
10. Install LeapFrog Connect by clicking on the "Download Leapfrog Connect" button. The Leapfrog Connect Application allows you to add or remove Tag Reader pen books from your child's Leapfrog pen.
11. Click "Next" when the welcome screen for Leapfrog Connect application pops up on your computer.
12. Click "Continue" when the application has installed on your computer. The Leapfrog Connect homepage will open when the software has completed installation.
13. Click "Set Up Your Tag" on the Leapfrog Connect homepage. This allows your Tag pen to work on your computer.
14. Next, set up Leapfrog Parent account by entering your name, date of birth and email address. Click "Agree" and "Continue."
15. Next, click "Who Plays with This Tag?" And enter your child's information. This will set up your child's Tag page with books appropriate for his or her age.
16. Click "Save" after entering all relevant information about your child. The Leapfrog Connect page will reopen. Follow the steps at the top of this page to download audio for your Tag pen book.
