Troubleshoot A Nextbook Next2

Released in 2010, the Nextbook Next2 is a 7-inch color TFT multifunctional touch screen E-book reader that allows you to play music and view images and videos. Compatible with 802.11 b/g Wi-Fi networks, it lets you connect to wireless connections and surf the Internet. If you are having problems with your NextBook E-book reader, this article will help you troubleshoot your problem.

Instructions

1. Hold down the power button for at least 15 seconds if it freezes up. This forces the device to shut down so that you can turn it on for a fresh start. Press the power button to turn the device back on. If this does not work, proceed to the next step.

2. Use a pin to press the "pinhole reset button" located at the back of the device. Hold it down until the device turns off and then powers back on again. It may take a few minutes to start the device completely.

3. Use the "Touch Panel Calibration" settings to troubleshoot problems with the touch-screen physical interface. To use this, navigate to "Home," tap "Settings" and then "Touch Panel Calibration." Follow the on-screen instructions for the touch-screen panel to respond properly again.

4. Make sure that the "Wi-Fi" feature of your device is turned on if you are having problems connecting to the Internet or if the device cannot detect any available wireless network. To do this, tap the "application tab" in the Home Screen and then tap the "Wi-Fi icon." Tap "Wi-Fi" to turn on the wireless feature.

5. Tap the name of the wireless connection you want to connect to and then type the network password if you are connecting to a secured network. Tap "Connect" to establish a connection.
