Laser Quest Canton
Canton's Laser Quest is in the northern region of the city, within walking distance of the Westfield Belden Village Mall. This recreation center offers a dark indoor arena for laser tag games. Birthday packages at Laser Quest include two laser tag games and a complimentary pass for the birthday child -- which can be used for a future time. Facilities include a private party room and storage space for birthday gifts. Laser Quest supplies custom-made birthday invitations and offers pizza upon request. As of February 2011, birthday parties must have at least eight people. Laser Quest is open on Monday strictly for private events.
Center Ice Sports Complex
Ice skating and birthday parties combine at the Center Ice Sports Complex, or CISC, which is right off the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Highway in northern Canton. CISC offers a private room for parties. The room is rented out in two-hour increments. Birthday packages include skate rentals, a gift for the birthday child and 90 minutes of ice skating. CISC also provides pizza, soda and a birthday cake. A 10-guest minimum is required for use of the private room. As of February 2011, the cost per child is $16.
Pump It Up of Hartville, Ohio
Located in Hartville, the Pump It Up recreation center is a 30-minute drive northeast of Canton. This recreation center is an indoor facility and features inflatable tents for jumping activities. The prices of Pump It Up birthday packages depend on the number of guests in attendance. Existing Classic Party packages, as of February 2011, cater to parties of 14 to 25 guests. The packages allow guests to have access to centers inflatables for 80 minutes. Parties occur in Pump It Up's party room. The party room is available for 40 minutes per party. The center offers cake, drinks and cookies upon request.
Akron Zoo
The Akron Zoo is a 30-minute drive north of Canton, by way of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Highway. The "It's a Wild World Birthday Party" package includes admission for 10 children and two adults, lunch for all the children and a private animal show. The zoo also gives the birthday child a gift and party favors to all child guests. Guests may stay the entire day in the park, but the indoor event center only permits parties to stay for 150 minutes. Party reservations must be made at least two weeks in advance. Wildlife species at the Zoo include an African lion and an Andean condor.
