Dental Work

If you've ever lost a filling, you undoubted know that dentist rarely consider the occaision a dental emergency. Some lost fillings can be painful to endure in the interim. Here is a quick fix to sustain you until you can make it to your dental appointment for repair.

Instructions

1. Get yourself to your nearest drug store and pick up a kit of Den Tek Temparin Loose Filling Repair. There are two varieties, one is for normal applications and the other is for maximum hold. Neither kit should run you any more than $6. Pick up a bag of sterilized cotton balls as well.

2. When you get home you'll want to brush your teeth in order to dislodge any food particles that may be stuck in the cavity.

3. Open up the filling kit and fashion an appropriate sized ball to fill the cavity. Basically, this involves rolling the material up with your fingers.

4. Use the spoon like gadget included in the kit to smooth out the material into the cavity.

5. Gently grind or mash your teeth together to get a good fit between the filling and the top or bottom row of your teeth.

6. Place a cotton ball over the filled tooth and gently bite down in order to keep the loose material in place until it seals. This also helps to prevent the swallowing of the material until it sets. The package suggest that you stay away from food or drink for a few hours but I have it easier to let it set overnight. That's it, you're finished. This should hold for about two weeks or so.
