Easy Ideas for Repairing a Ding
1. Hold a piece of dry ice in the center of the dent for several seconds and remove it. Within a minute, the dent should pop out on its own.
2. Place a small piece of aluminum foil over the ding and heat it with a lighter for 30 seconds. Spray liquid CO2 on the heated area by holding a can of compressed air upside down and spraying it. In 30 seconds to a minute, the dent should pop out on its own. Once the ding is gone, wipe the area with a clean, soft cloth.
3. Hold a hair dryer to the ding for 20 to 30 seconds until it is hot, and spray with an upside-down can of compressed air, covering the area with liquid CO2. The dent should pop out on its own in less than a minute. Wipe the area clean with a soft, clean cloth.
4. If the car has been sitting in the sunshine on a hot day, place a cold, wet cloth on the ding; the dent will come out.
