Convert your digital book to text.
The Adobe Digital Editions program allows you to copy eBooks to your computer and adjust the document's formatting. An eBook is a file you generally upload to a portable device, such as a Kindle or an iPad. However, if you do not have the specific hardware to upload the eBook to you may want to open the document in a word processor or other program, and with Adobe Digital Edition's help you can.
Instructions
1. Click "Start," "All Programs," "Adobe" and choose "Digital Editions." In a moment the digital program launches onto the screen.
2. Click "File," "Open" and select the desired eBook. The program scans the document then loads it onto your screen.
3. Click "File," "Save As" and a save window appears.
4. Title the document in the title bar at the top of the window, then choose a save location. Click on the format pull-down menu at the bottom of the window and all the available formats appears on the screen (such as for Word and WordPerfect).
5. Select the format you want, then click "Save" and the eBook converts to the selected format.
