Reset A Sears Garage Door Remote

Sears remotes can be programmed for various garage doors.


Sears features a wide variety of garage door models that offer various opener devices. These openers allow you to control your garage door from inside your house or up to a couple hundred feet away in your car. You can program the remote from inside your garage as long as you have access to the motor unit. Once programmed, you be able to use the remote right away with your Sears opener. Instructions


1. Enter your garage and locate the "Smart" button on the back of your garage door motor. This button is located near the light lens and antenna wire.


2. Press and release the "Smart" button. Wait for the LED light on the motor to start flashing.


3. Press and hold the "Open" button on your Sears remote within 30 seconds. Release the button once the main light on the motor flashes twice.


4. Wait 30 seconds for the red indicator light on the motor to stop flashing. This completes the resetting process.
