Instructions For Bushnell 10x25 Imageview Digital Binoculars

Bushnell's ImageView incorporates a 2.1 megapixel digital camera into a pair of compact 10 x 25 mm binoculars. Capture anything you spot with the binoculars, then upload it to your computer for printing or email. The camera features an 8 Mb internal memory for storing up to 100 photos and extra memory may be added with an optional SD card. Selectable image resolution modes are High, with 640 x 480 pixels or Low, with 320 x 240 pixels. The Video mode stores AVI video clips in High or Low resolution modes.


Instructions


Set Up


1. Insert two AAA batteries into the battery compartment on the bottom of the binoculars.


2. Press and hold the "Mode" button to turn the camera on. After the camera powers up press the "Mode" button to cycle through menu selections.


3. Select "High" or "Low" on the video menu to put the camera into video mode and high or low resolution. Select "Off" to turn off the video mode.


4. Select either "Hq" or "Lq" quality setting to produce large or small still image file sizes, respectively. Select "High" or "Low" to choose desired resolution of still images. Select "60 Hz" line frequency for operation in the United States.


5. Select "Continuous" to shoot a rapid succession of still images when the "Snap" button is pushed. Select either "3" or "5" for the desired number of images.


6. Select "Sto" to access internal or SC card memory when the camera is connected to your computer by USB cable.


7. Select "Delete Last" to erase the last image you took from memory. Select "Delete All" to erase all images from memory.


8. Select "Self-Timer" and "On" to set a 10-second delay after "Snap" button is pressed before image is recorded. Select "Off" to turn off self-timer.


Focusing The Binoculars


9. Focus the diopter (right) lens first by holding the binocular up to your eyes in a comfortable viewing position. Swivel the barrels closer together or further apart until you see a single, circular view with both eyes open.


10. Turn the diopter lens to zero and view a distant object with both eyes open. Cover the right lens of the binocular with your hand. Use the center focus wheel to adjust focus until the image is clear to your left eye.


11. Uncover the right lens and adjust the diopter wheel until the image is clear to your right eye. All subsequent focus adjustments may now be made using the center focus wheel alone.


Taking A Picture


12. Frame the desired image in the lens of the binocular.


13. Hold the ImageView steady.


14. Press the Snap button on the right center of the binoculars to take a still image. In Video mode, pressing Snap starts and stops video recording.


Uploading To Your Computer


15. Plug a USB cable into the USB port on the right rear of the binoculars.


16. Plug the USB cable into the computer.


17.Press and hold the "Mode" button to power up the camera. A removable disk icon will appear in the My Computer menu of Windows-compatible computers or on the desktop of Macintosh computers running the OSX operating system.


18. Open the removable disk icon and copy or drag the images to your computer's hard drive.


19. Disconnect the USB cable from the computer and from the ImageView. Power down the ImageView by pressing the "Mode" button and holding until the unit turns off.
