The Ontario Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities reports that the demand for automotive mechanics and service technicians in the province will remain steady from 2009 through 2013, but that high turnover rates will still lead to numerous job openings in the field. Due to the increasing importance of technology to automotive service, the Ministry explains that students with post-secondary education are likely to have an easier time finding employment than those without such training. A small number of schools in Ontario offer educational programs for would-be mechanics or individuals in the field who wish to improve their skills.
