U.S. Department of Energy's Grants for Energy Efficiency in Homes
The U.S. Department of Energy gives grants to individual states' Departments of Energy. These grants allow each individual state's Department of Energy to offer financial incentives to low-income homeowners who incorporate energy efficiency improvements into their home renovations. For example, grant monies might be used to finance the installation of weatherization materials in a recipient's home, in order to improve the structure's heating and cooling efficiency.
