Replace A Window In A Doublewide

Mobile homes were first manufactured in 1926.


Mobile homes have been present in America since the time of the first vehicles. Mobile homes are available in a variety of sizes and styles and are highly preferred by some homeowners due to their cost and mobility. One of the most popular styles of mobile home is the double-wide; made from two separate sections that are connected on site. If your double-wide mobile home is in need of new windows, you can replace the existing ones with the proper materials and by following a few simple directions. Does this Spark an idea?


Instructions


1. Remove any siding that is around the window gently.


2. Unscrew the screws holding the window trim on the top and bottom of the window.


3. Unscrew the screws that hold the window to the double-wide starting with the bottom screws first and then the top screws.


4. Gently pull the window away from the window frame.


5. Slide the replacement window into the window frame.


6. Screw in the screws that hold the window to the double-wide starting with the top screws followed by the bottom screws.


7. Place the top window trim on the top of the window and screw it into place. Repeat with the bottom trim.


8. Replace all of the siding that was removed when removing the old window.
