Lease A Smart Car In Las Vegas

Smart cars are energy efficient around town vehicles.

Smart cars are small vehicles with excellent fuel efficiency in both a traditional gas or electric engine, as well as unique features such as interchangeable exterior parts. Mercedes has opened up the Smart car for leasing, but there are a couple of conditions. You must have excellent credit to be considered for a lease, and the contract period is for 36 months only.

Instructions

1. Go on a test drive. Never buy or lease any vehicle without driving it first to check out the comfort of the vehicle as well as how it handles. You can schedule a test drive at any time at the Towbin dealership, by calling in or by signing up for one on the dealership website. There is one Smart dealership in Las Vegas as of October 2010. Towbin Automotive is located at 5550 W. Sarah. You can also contact them by phone at 866-283-5601.

2. Look around the dealership to find the Smart car that you want, if you enjoyed the test drive. In many cases, you won't have to wait for a Smart car to be built. The dealership will check with other dealerships to find one that matches your request. If so, they will have it transferred to Las Vegas.

3. Request information on the leasing options. You should compare leasing to purchasing options to make sure you are making an informed decision.

4. Take a second test drive in the Smart car of your choice, once you find it. This may require a second visit, if the dealership had to transfer it in from another location. While driving the vehicle, look for any possible issues with the interior and listen for issues with the engine.

5. Negotiate the leasing contract. Decide on the average number of miles that you drive in a year. Leases usually start out at 12,000 miles, but if you prefer, you can have the dealership increase the yearly mileage on the contract. This will mean a higher monthly payment, but will keep you from paying a penalty at the end of the lease period.

6. Sign on the dotted line. The finance manager has completed the credit check and you are good to go. Now he will prepare the necessary paperwork and process any deposits or payment; when this is complete, you will take your new Smart car home.
