Report Section 8 Fraud

Section 8 is a federal government program to assist low-income tenants by subsidizing a portion of their rent. Section 8 provides landlords with monthly rent subsidies, typically in the form of rental vouchers, to cover the remaining cost of rent for an approved Section 8 tenant. It is usually the responsibility of low-income tenants to verify if a particular apartment complex or community accepts Section 8 vouchers as not all apartment communities accept Section 8. As with many other federal programs, sometimes people take advantage of the system and commit fraud.
