Repair The Interior Of A Mobile Home

Repair the Interior of a Mobile Home

According to the website Mobile Home Doctor.com, many home improvement books have overlooked mobile home repair. To make matters worse, a mobile home owner may need to purchase the supplies needed for repair from a specialty hardware store, because many mobile homes are made of lightweight material. However, repairing the interior of a mobile home does not have to be complicated. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

1. Select a lightweight paneling. Since mobile homes are lightweight in design, paneling or drywall designed for stationary homes may be too heavy for use on the walls of a mobile home.

2. Remove the interior walls of your mobile home. Mobile home drywall can be knocked away with a crowbar. However, be sure to place plastic sheeting on the ground and suck up dust with a shop vacuum. Paneling can be removed by pulling paneling nails from the wall.

3. Place paneling over the studs and nail it into place to install.

4. Re-create the look of drywall by filling in the paneling grooves with wall putty using a putty knife. Wait for the putty to dry before proceeding.

5. Paint the paneling once the putty has dried, using an interior flat latex paint and a paintbrush.
