Repair A Sony Home Theater Dvd

You can watch DVD video with your HTIB.

Sony is a leading electronics company that produces a wide range of hardware, including HTIB equipment. HTIB, short for home theater in a box, combines a DVD player and surround sound system. If the DVD player you are currently using is not functioning properly, you will need to troubleshoot the equipment.

Instructions

1. Remove the DVD from the HTIB and clean off the bottom of the disc. If the DVD is dirty, the equipment is unable to read the disc, which results in a disc error.

2. Open the DVD drive on the HTIB and spray a few shots of compressed air into it. This removes dust built up on the disc lens. Dust results in the drive being unable to read information on the disc.

3. Insert only store-purchased DVDs and DVD videos into the Sony HTIB. Data DVDs and audio DVDs do not function in the equipment.

4. Power down the HTIB and leave it off for a few minutes. This allows the internal hardware on the DVD player to reset. Turn on the player and reinsert the disc. The DVD should begin to play.
