Use words to provoke customer action in advertising
Did you know that your words can have a tremendous effect on your sales and your profits? You can make money or lose money by the words you use. When you are advertising products whether online or off-line, the words you use can either attract customers or bore them away. Learn to use the right words to draw, excite, effect, encourage or convince a customer to use immediate action. Words can have a positive or negative influence. The type of words you use can determine the action your customers will take. Study these steps to learn use the right words to sell your products and win customers.

1. Use certain types of words with a method of appeal to them, in order to describe your merchandise or sales offer. Get immediate attention and add shock value to your products or sales offers. Use appealing words such as bargain, amazing, discount, exciting, guaranteed, improved, latest, professional, proven, quality, secret, revolutionary, profitable, refundable, special, tested, valuable, unique or miracle.
2. Stimulate or close your ad with an action-getting phrase, give readers something to write or do. Use these suggestive words to get immediate action from your customers: "Act now!," "Send your name," "FREE!," "Be first to qualify," "Included free," "Complete details free," "Everything supplied," "Exciting details available," "Get started today," "Get your copy today!," "Mail to," "Money-making facts free," "No obligation!," "Offer limited!," "Send today," "Order now!," "Don’t delay!," "Revealing booklet free," "Rush name for details," "Send no money" or "Samples sent free."
3. Threaten them in a friendly way by provoking sympathy or fear, if they do not buy your products. Use these words to provoke a “friendly threat." This can be accomplished through words such as "disappoint," "inconvenience," "necessary, "criticism," "effect," "judgment," "undoubtedly," "weather," "omitted, "personnel," "appearance, "loose, "practical," "problems, "unnecessary, "affect," "strictly," "oblige," "among," "canceled," "explanation," "eligible," "controversy," "omission," "procedure," or "schedule."
4. Add these words to your sale offers to combine them with other sales pulling words and catch the attention and interest of the sales customer. For example: "The Money-Making Facts are FREE!," "Act Now" and "Enclose your SASE." Fill in with a few details and you have given yourself a money-generating ad. Use the word "Free" frequently to gain the attention of a customer, but make sure to give away something free.
5. Create your own advertising versions and build them around words like these. Write down many other order-pulling words and phrases like: "A Must!," "Anyone can do this," "Act now!," "Breakthrough," "Change Your Life," "Deep Discount," "Common Sense Approach," "Double Your Money Back!" and much more.
