These regulations specify how a home should be installed along with any qualifications and licensing required by the installer.
Installer Duties
Before a person or organization can commence operations, certification is required. This includes registering with Colorado as an installer. Installers must be at least 18-years-old and pass a state qualifying examination. Study guides are available form the MHIP for the exam. Furthermore, as of August, 2010, all installers must carry a $100,000 liability insurance policy and post a $10,000 bond.

Manufacturers usually have qualified engineers or architects drawing the installation blueprints and the design must be followed. Some of the things covered are pier location and spacing and tie down specifications. Other things outlined in the prints are water, electric and sewer hookups.
