Phrase New Year'S Eve Invitations

Having a New Year's Eve party is one way to ring in the New Year with friends and family. The New Year's party invitation is a preview for the guests to the type of event you are hosting. Here are a few tips on phrase the New Year's Eve invitation. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

1. Finalize party details such as the location, time, date, attire and party theme. Although people traditionally hold New Year's Eve parties on December 31, you can host your party on another date close to New Year's Eve.

2. Choose invitations that fit the party theme. Use formal wording such as "Cordially invited," or, "Request your presence" to convey a formal event. Use a more friendly tone such as "Please join," or, "Come party" for casual parties.

3. Start the invitation with an introductory greeting that introduces the New Year's party theme then list the party details, location, time and date. Most New Year's parties begin a few hours before midnight and last a few hours after midnight.

4. Include specific information such as attire and whether you are serving food and alcohol. Potluck and jeans represent casual parties but a Black Tie Affair is a formal party.

5. Indicate on the bottom of the New Year's Eve party invitation if children are invited and if a babysitter is available. Many times it is difficult for parents to find childcare on New Year's Eve, so letting them know "Children are welcome" helps parents resolve the childcare dilemma.
