The Plunger Method
Place a standard household plunger, securely, over the door dent. Generate suction by pushing in on the plunger, moving towards the car door. Finally, pull the plunger out, using a quick motion. The plunger method works best on dents that do not contain any creases or cracks.
The Tapping Method
The tapping method involves removing the interior panel of the door. Accomplish this by taking out screws or bolts holding the panel in place. Gently pry the panel from the bottom. Locate the dent in the interior, and use a rubber mallet or a cloth-covered metal hammer to tap the dent out from the inside.
Commercial Dent Pullers
A number of dent pullers are available at hardware and auto part stores that involve drilling a hole in the middle of the dent. Place the dent puller wires into the hole, and use the equipment attached to the wires to pop out the dent. Use of these pullers requires repairing the hole after fixing the dent.
