Connect A Leapster Explorer To A Computer

Use a USB cable to connect the Leapster Explorer to a computer.


The Leapster Explorer is a handheld electronic educational toy developed for children that are 4 to 9 years of age. The device contains preset games, videos and e-books. The Leapster Explorer comes with a free software download that allows you to connect the Explorer to your computer, by using the included USB cable. Once you have connected the Explorer to your computer, you can go online to download new learning applications from the LeapFrog website.


Instructions


1. Set up the Leapster Explorer. Turn the Leapster Explorer on, and select your country when prompted. Follow the additional prompts to create a player name for each child that will play with the Leapster Explorer.


2. Install the LeapFrog Connect application. Insert the LeapFrog Connect CD that was included with the LeapFrog Explorer into your computer's CD ROM drive, or download the installer from the LeapFrog customer support website (leapfrog.com/support). Follow the prompts to install the LeapFrog Connect application from the CD or the download.


3. Set up a LeapFrog parent account. Open the LeapFrog Connect application by double-clicking the "LeapFrog Connect" icon on your desktop. Click the "Start Here" button in the "My Toys" box, then follow the instructions to connect the LeapFrog Explorer using the USB cable.


4. Download new applications to the LeapFrog Explorer by clicking on "Leaplet Store" in the left-side navigation screen and following instructions for download.
