Make Pvc Water Guns

Water guns provide a cooling spray on a hot day even as they shock the person who has been hit. A homemade PVC pipe water gun can be made from a few supplies found around the home, along with some supplies from a hardware store. Get adult supervision if you are underage since a power tool must be used as well as a cutting edge.

Instructions

1. Place a sheet of newspaper on a table. Stand empty water bottle on the newspaper. Unscrew the bottle cap from the water bottle. Place the bottle cap on the newspaper.

2. Drill three holes side by side in the top of the bottle cap with the portable drill.

3. Stand the PVC pipe on the newspaper. Apply bonding glue around the rim of the end of the PVC pipe that is at the top.

4. Place the bottle cap, inside edge down, on the end of the PVC pipe. Let the bonding glue set for an hour.

5. Place another bottle cap on the newspaper, bottom end down. Place the free end of the PVC pipe on top of the bottle cap. Draw around the outline of the end of the PVC pipe with the pencil.

6. Cut out the outline of the PVC pipe on the bottle cap with the blade of the utility knife. Dispose of the cut.

7. Apply bonding glue around the hole in the bottle cap. Insert the free end of the PVC pipe into the hole. Let the bonding glue set for three hours.

8. Fill the water bottle with tap water. Screw the bottle cap onto the water bottle.

9. Go outside in your backyard. Aim your PVC water gun at a tree, rock or other enemy. Squeeze the water bottle between both hands quickly. Watch the water stream out of the end of PVC water gun and fly towards your target.

Tips Warnings

Never shoot at anyone that is not expecting to be hit by a stream of water.
